Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Ingram (ranked 7300 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Tomker (ranked 8343 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Ingram has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kris Ingram!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Tomker!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tomker wants to slow Ingram down by chopping away at his legs.
Ingram moves out of range of the strikes.

Ingram changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tomker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tomker bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Ingram really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ingram throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tomker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ingram is in Tomker's guard.
Tomker is wriggling around but Ingram manages to pass to half guard.

Ingram has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ingram is nestled in close to Tomker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ingram is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tomker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ingram.

Ingram goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tomker turns into him and now he's in Ingram's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tomker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ingram is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tomker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ingram looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Ingram seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ingram shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tomker as he avoids it easily.
Tomker throws a series of punches but Ingram moves out of range.
Ingram pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tomker back to the cage. Ingram follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ingram takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ingram jumps guard but Tomker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Ingram throws an elbow that misses. Tomker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ingram's guard. Nice move by Tomker!

Martin Tomker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ingram jumps guard and drags Tomker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ingram is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Tomker postures up in Ingram's guard and throws a big left but Ingram blocks it.
Tomker wants to stand but Ingram is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ingram is pulling down on Tomker's head. It's preventing any offense from Tomker, at least for the moment.

Tomker stands and steps away. Ingram gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Tomker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Tomker decides to stand back up. Tomker steps back and let's Ingram get back to his feet.

Ingram shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tomker's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ingram throws a strike but Tomker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ingram has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Ingram utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ingram wants to sweep here but Tomker controlling him for the moment.
Ingram controls Tomker momentarily but Tomker frees himself.
Tomker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ingram is proving hard to escape from.

Tomker stands and steps away. Ingram gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tomker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ingram tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tomker just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tomker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Martin Tomker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tomker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
