The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maricone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nova.
Maricone throws a body shot but no joy.
Nova lands with a straight right. Maricone didn't see that one coming.
Nova looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nova tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nova lands with an overhand left.

Nova lands a big uppercut and Maricone crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Maricone looks OK. Nova waves Maricone back to his feet!

Maricone is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A thudding body kick lands there by Nova!
Oh Maricone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maricone throws a low kick, looking for Nova's leg but Nova calmly moves out of range.
It seemed like Nova was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Maricone misses with a right hand
and Nova counters with a thumping low kick.
Nova ducks under a wild hook from Maricone.
Maricone seems to have got his legs back now.
Maricone misses with a leg kick
and Nova counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Nova lands the left hand.
Maricone drops his hands momentarily. Nova doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Maricone staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Maricone doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
