Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azelja Kajin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Bleekwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Azelja Kajin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Bleekwood!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Bleekwood or perhaps it was just good defense by Kajin which made him look bad.

Kajin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kajin is trying to break free.

Kajin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bleekwood will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Bleekwood counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kajin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Bleekwood throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kajin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bleekwood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bleekwood is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kajin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kajin has escaped and now he's on top!
Kajin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bleekwood looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bleekwood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kajin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kajin wants to control from the top but Bleekwood keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bleekwood looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Kajin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bleekwood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Kajin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Azelja Kajin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Bleekwood.

Bleekwood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kajin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bleekwood throws a head kick but Kajin moves out of range.

so Bleekwood counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kajin uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kajin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bleekwood pinned against the cage. Bleekwood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bleekwood throws a head kick but Kajin moves out of range.
Bleekwood shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kajin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kajin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bleekwood is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Curtis Bleekwood will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kajin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bleekwood tries to clinch but Kajin moves away

and Kajin counters with a single leg into guard. Bleekwood didn't expect that.
Kajin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bleekwood working for a triangle but Kajin defends it easily.

Kajin stands up and waves to Bleekwood to follow him.
Kajin fails to land the takedown.
Kajin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bleekwood pinned against the cage. Bleekwood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Kajin counters with a left and a right that stings Bleekwood.

Bleekwood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bleekwood is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kajin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bleekwood throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kajin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Kajin tries to lock up and control but Bleekwood gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bleekwood working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Bleekwood working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kajin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bleekwood off and cradles Kajin's limp body as Bleekwood celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Curtis Bleekwood!
