Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Brown (ranked 5723 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sajack (ranked 5740 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Sajack!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Brown working the ground and pound but Sajack is defending the strikes.
Sajack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown cracks Sajack with a big right hand but Sajack just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sajack wants to get back to his feet but Brown is dominant here and he's now got Sajack's back!

Brown working for the choke.
Brown misses with a punch to the head.
Brown has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sajack's body.
Brown punishes Sajack with strikes from the back mount.
Sajack trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Brown's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Brown is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Sajack is defending well though. Brown let's go of the attempt for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sajack tries to escape the position.

Brown is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sajack has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Brown trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Sajack doesn't escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brown is hanging on to Sajack's back as he tries to escape.
Sajack keeps trying to improve his position.
Sajack needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.
Sajack prevents Brown from getting a body triangle.

Sajack is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Brown.

Sajack trying to control the action but Brown just sinks the hooks in.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brown controlling the position well here. Sajack rolled but Brown kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

James Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Excellent takedown into side control there by Brown.
Brown is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sajack can do to turn this around?
Sajack is trying to get back to half guard.
Brown controlling the position.
Sajack tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A punch combination from Brown misses.
Sajack shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Sajack's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sajack was covering up waiting for the punch and Brown finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sajack is looking to escape.

Brown content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Sajack is concentrating on defense, preventing Brown from advancing position.
Brown slips a nice elbow through Sajack's hands, connecting with Sajack's forehead.
Brown wants to control but Sajack is keeping him busy.
Sajack is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brown scores with a couple of nice shots.

Brown escapes and gets back to his feet.

Sajack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.
Sajack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sajack is one step ahead there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sajack postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Brown looking to control.
Brown looking for a sweep. Not yet Brown, not yet.
Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Sajack is proving a slippery customer.
Sajack slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sajack drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Brown explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Brown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sajack defends well and Brown ends up having to push Sajack into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sajack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sajack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Brown tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Brown dominated that second round.
That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Sajack takes the fight into the clinch.

Sajack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sajack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good leg kick by Sajack there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from Sajack, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sajack is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sajack.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown scores with a hook to the body. Sajack takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Brown defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sajack.
Brown attempts a counter takedown but Sajack avoids it well and moves away.

Brown moves into the clinch successfully.

Sajack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sajack can pounce on him.

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sajack wants to sweep but no luck.
Brown controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sajack keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown postures up.
Brown is stalling in the full guard.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Sajack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown stands and throws Sajack's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Brown just content to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Sajack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Brown creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brown wants to take a breather but Sajack manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Brown.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sajack is on top in guard.

Brown wants to get back to his feet but Sajack is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

John Sajack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Brown is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sajack is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Brown showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
