Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kimbo slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). kimbo slice will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eduardo Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, kimbo slice!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

slice looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sosa looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
slice is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sosa won't allow slice to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

slice is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sosa sees it coming and defends easily.
slice stalling.

slice stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

and slice counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sosa!

I looks like slice might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Sosa takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

slice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

slice slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Sosa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. slice is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sosa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take slice's back instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
slice rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Sosa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
slice is looking for a sweep. Sosa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sosa is stalling here. slice is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sosa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and slice has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

slice stands up and beckons Sosa to his feet.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from slice. Sosa shrugs it off though.

and slice counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Sosa tries to regain full guard. Instead though, slice has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Sosa tries to reverse the position but slice maintains control.
slice looking to control and managing it successfully.
slice lands a big shot there that rocks Sosa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sosa shoots and misses

slice is in close to Sosa's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sosa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sosa wants to get back to full guard.

slice decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for slice.

slice fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sosa sprawls well initially but slice persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sosa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but slice pulls his head out easily.
slice is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
slice wants to free his trapped foot but Sosa is holding on for dear life with his legs.
slice looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
slice takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sosa tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sosa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and slice counters by clinching up.

slice jumps into guard, dragging Sosa to the mat.

Sosa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! slice is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sosa, into his guard.

Sosa has the hooks in. slice is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Sosa is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
slice rolls, trying to escape but Sosa keeps control of the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sosa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, slice has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That was a close second round but I would say that Eduardo Sosa will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Sosa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! slice is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! slice has escaped and now he's on top!

Sosa is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute slice jumps into side control!
Sosa is looking for a sweep.
Sosa is working hard here to advance position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

slice closes the distance and clinches.

slice has Sosa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. slice pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sosa tumbling to the mat - slice dives into Sosa's guard.
