The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michells shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arathorm but Arathorm pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Michells closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Arathorm manages to get back to half guard.
Arathorm tries to roll over but Michells keeps him under control.

Arathorm has hold of Michells's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Michells manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Michells is in a horrible position here. Arathorm smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Arathorm swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Michells is now in Arathorm's guard. A big mistake from Arathorm there, giving up the dominant position!
