The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monjaros ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jones walks into a jab.
Jones takes a swing at Monjaros's ribcage but misses.
Monjaros with a nice cross.
Monjaros lands a glancing blow to the side of Jones's head.
Jones throws a low kick but Monjaros avoids it.
A little feinted left hand from Monjaros on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Monjaros scores with a jab. Jones acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jones misses with a lunging right hand
letting Monjaros counter with a right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Monjaros, as that shot connected.
Monjaros avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Still in the clinch, Monjaros scores with a nice short uppercut.

Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Monjaros escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones wants to clinch up but Monjaros keeps it at a distance.

and Monjaros counters with a nice uppercut.

Monjaros lands with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Monjaros connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Jones is rocked!
Monjaros steps in with a hook that catches Jones right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Monjaros follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Jones looks absolutely devastated.
