The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Lawu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lawu stuffs the takedown.
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demitrious Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As Johnson backs off Lawu throws a huge counter combo but Johnson manages to avoid it all.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lawu tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lawu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Lawu counters with a series of strikes. Johnson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Despite the aggression on Lawu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lawu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
As Johnson backs off Lawu throws a huge counter combo but Johnson manages to avoid it all.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lawu sprawls well. Lawu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Lawu unleashes a big counter combination but Johnson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Becak Lawu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Lawu counters with a crisp one two that drops Johnson! Lawu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Johnson to his feet! Johnson is in big trouble!

Demitrious Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Lawu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lawu is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lawu is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Lawu circles away and we're back to standing.

and Lawu counters with a crisp one two that drops Johnson! Lawu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Johnson to his feet! Johnson is in big trouble!
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson is breathing heavily.

Johnson shoots and misses
and Lawu counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Johnson badly! Lawu follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Johnson out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Lawu finished him against the cage.
