Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shamil Zavurov (ranked 22717 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taras Vovchanchyn (ranked 8210 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zavurov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - The Rain. Shamil Zavurov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Taras Vovchanchyn's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovchanchyn misses with a hook.
It looked like Zavurov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Zavurov moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Vovchanchyn misses the target.
Vovchanchyn misses with a hook. Zavurov ducked under it nicely.
Zavurov scores with a shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Vovchanchyn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zavurov connects with a nice looking jab.
Zavurov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vovchanchyn's head.
Vovchanchyn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Zavurov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vovchanchyn gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Zavurov gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shamil Zavurov!
