The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Snyder's guard.
Snyder has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Gutierrez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Gutierrez manages to break the clinch.
Gutierrez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Snyder explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gutierrez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Snyder wriggles free and stands up.

Snyder doesn't manage to clinch there - Gutierrez circles away.
Snyder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Snyder scores with a head kick. Gutierrez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Gutierrez gets a clinch.
Snyder has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gutierrez after a bit of a struggle.
Gutierrez works on Snyder's body with a couple of short punches.
Gutierrez has Snyder pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gutierrez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Snyder tumbling to the mat - Gutierrez dives into Snyder's guard.
Snyder manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Snyder ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Snyder no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gutierrez is sitting in close to Snyder's body. Snyder has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gutierrez is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gutierrez is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Snyder.
