Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicky Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Hemmingworth and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Ryan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sanchez is trying to stand up here but Ryan is controlling him well.

Ryan seems to be looking for submissions.
Ryan stops Sanchez from getting back to his feet.

Sanchez is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Ryan off. It looks like it's working - Ryan slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Sanchez displaying calm under pressure there.

Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Ryan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sanchez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ryan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sanchez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ryan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez avoids it really well and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez lands a body shot.
Ryan shoots for a takedown but Sanchez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sanchez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ryans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Salvador Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No joy there for Sanchez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
A jab lands there for Sanchez.

Ryan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sanchez.

Ryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sanchez stuns Ryan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Sanchez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ryan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sanchez is wriggling around trying to escape but Ryan has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Sanchez taps out and Ryan picks up the big win! Great work there by Ryan!
