The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arges misses with a double jab.
Arges throws a sloppy head kick and Book moves out of range easily.
Book moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Book lands with a slapping head kick.

Book drives through with a takedown into Arges's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Book definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Book wants to control from the top but Arges keeps moving.
Book working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Book postures up in Arges's guard and throws a big left but Arges blocks it.
Arges is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Arges has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Book has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Arges slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Book scores with a jab to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Arges lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Book has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Book and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Arges lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Book circles away quickly and effectively.
Arges has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Book shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Book was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Book is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Book wants to take a breather but Arges is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arges can do anything to dispel that myth.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Arges in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
