Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miles Cohen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stewart gets a clinch.
Stewart is trying to pull guard but Cohen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Cohen wants the takedown. Stewart is fighting it off but Cohen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stewart's guard against the cage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stewart is trying to control the position but Cohen postures up.
Cohen wants to pass the guard but Stewart is keeping the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stewart manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cohen stuffs the takedown attempt from Stewart. Stewart gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Cohen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Cohen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stewart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cohen but Cohen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Miles Cohen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Stewart.
Stewart tries to clinch but Cohen moves out of range.
Stewart lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Cohen has Stewart pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cohen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Stewart tumbling to the mat - Cohen dives into Stewart's guard.

Stewart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cohen is fending him off so far but Stewart persists. Nope, Cohen circles away and we're back to standing.
Cohen throws a quick counter head kick but Stewart was just out of range.
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cohen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cohen has hold of one of Stewart's legs. Stewart is fighting the takedown attempt but Cohen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Cohen wants to control from the top but Stewart keeps moving.

Cohen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stewart sees it coming and defends easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stewart wants to clinch
and Cohen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stewart misses with a few strikes there.
Cohen throwing a counter right hand but Stewart manages to avoid it.
Stewart fails with a takedown attempt.
Cohen is looking for a counter combo.
Cohen misses with a hook. Stewart ducked under it nicely.
Cohen leaves Stewart with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cohen looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Stewart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cohen's waist but Cohen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stewart off to one side.
Cohen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice cross by Stewart.
Cohen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stewart can do to turn this around?

Cohen has closed the distance and engaged Stewart in a clinch.

Cohen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stewart can't fight it off and eventually Cohen manages to take the fight to the floor. Stewart looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cohen stands up and waves to Stewart to follow him.
Stewart shoots in but no luck this time.

That kick from Stewart tenderised Cohen's leg. Cohen is trying to keep his angry face on.

Cohen rushes Stewart and presses him up against the cage.

Stewart is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cohen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stewart to the mat. Stewart regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Cohen swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Stewart is breathing heavily.
Stewart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stewart looks for the body kick but Cohen saw that one coming.
Cohen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stewart shoots and misses
and Cohen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Stewart tries to pull guard but Cohen holds him up against the cage and eventually Stewart drops back down to his feet.

Cohen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stewart uses from the top position.
Cohen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stewart manages to get himself to full guard.

Cohen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cohen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stewart is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cohen, into his guard.

Stewart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cohen scores with the left hand. Stewart knows he should have avoided that one.
