Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raggy Ann (ranked 5682 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Martindale (ranked 5807 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ann fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Martindale checks it well.
Martindale lands a jab to the head.

Martindale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Martindale wants it to stay on the feet.

Martindale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ann stands and throws Martindale's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Martindale bucks up and tries to throw Ann off but instead Ann has got his back!

Ann's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Martindale is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ann gets his way!

In his post fight interview, Travis Martindale started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
