The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ogre is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cotton's half guard.

Ogre is working for a submission of some sort.
Ogre is trying to control. Cotton wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cotton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ogre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cotton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ogre seems to be working for a kimura but Cotton defends the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ogre decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cotton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ogre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cotton has managed to get both his arms back between Ogre's legs - danger averted.
