Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Krotos Laciee (ranked 5744 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan McLawhorn (ranked 23445 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krotos Laciee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryan McLawhorn!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laciee throws a shot from downtown. McLawhorn moves away and avoids it.

McLawhorn drives through and clinches with Laciee against the cage.
Laciee avoiding damage as McLawhorn throws knees to the body.
Laciee is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

McLawhorn pulls Laciee into guard.
McLawhorn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Laciee wants to improve his position but McLawhorn is controlling well.
McLawhorn is taking a breather. Laciee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

McLawhorn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Laciee scores with a nice right hand.
McLawhorn dives in and grabs Laciee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laciee pushes down on McLawhorn's head and hops out.
Laciee's jab looks to have found its range, popping McLawhorn under the eye.

McLawhorn has managed to clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Laciee misses with a hook from the clinch.
McLawhorn has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Laciee seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if McLawhorn can turn it around.

McLawhorn tries for a takedown but Laciee manages to get underhooks.
Krotos Laciee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan McLawhorn.

McLawhorn has Laciee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McLawhorn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Laciee tumbling to the mat - McLawhorn dives into Laciee's guard.
Laciee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McLawhorn advances position into side control!
Laciee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McLawhorn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McLawhorn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Laciee defends it nicely.
McLawhorn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

McLawhorn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Laciee's guard.
McLawhorn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

McLawhorn stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Laciee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McLawhorn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Laciee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McLawhorn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Laciee's corner calls for a 1-2. Laciee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Laciee works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Laciee lands a glancing blow to the side of McLawhorn's head.
Laciee connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Laciee throws a jab but it's blocked by McLawhorn.
Laciee tries to close the distance and clinch up but McLawhorn swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McLawhorn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laciee throws out the jab.
McLawhorn looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Laciee bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McLawhorn's head.
Laciee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McLawhorn.
McLawhorn drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Laciee defends it well.
Laciee is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Laciee loads up on a big right hand but McLawhorn slips the punch.
McLawhorn steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Laciee.
McLawhorn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Laciee connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McLawhorn scrambles back to his feet.
Laciee tries to close the distance and clinch but McLawhorn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Laciee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McLawhorn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laciee's waist but Laciee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McLawhorn off to one side.

Laciee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Laciee is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Laciee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McLawhorn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Laciee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

McLawhorn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Laciee to the ground. McLawhorn is now in Laciee's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Laciee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Laciee catches McLawhorn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

McLawhorn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Laciee, up you get!
McLawhorn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McLawhorn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Laciee has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
McLawhorn throws a body punch but Laciee moves out of range.
McLawhorn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Laciee is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from McLawhorn.
Laciee is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
No luck for McLawhorn with that takedown attempt.

Laciee throws a series of strikes that have McLawhorn backpedaling.

McLawhorn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McLawhorn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McLawhorn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

McLawhorn passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Laciee!
Laciee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McLawhorn on the ground.

McLawhorn is looking for the choke from the back position but Laciee is controlling his hands well.
McLawhorn is not going to allow Laciee to sit and survive in this position.
McLawhorn is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

McLawhorn has good solid back control here.
Laciee wants to control his opponent's hands but McLawhorn gets his hands free.

McLawhorn has the hooks in. Laciee is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

I would just about give that final round to Bryan McLawhorn.
I think McLawhorn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
