Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fletcher Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stevie Ray!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ray shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lee manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ray keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Ray manages to pull guard.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lee wants to stand but Ray has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ray is controlling Lee's posture.
Ray has a closed guard, preventing Lee from standing up.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ray is adopting a defensive guard.
Ray looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lee stands and steps away. Ray gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ray throws a lazy head kick
and Lee counters with a one-two to the body.

Ray feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Ray changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ray slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lee wants to sweep but no luck.

Ray decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ray closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ray lands in his opponent's guard.
Lee controls Ray momentarily but Ray frees himself.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lee looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee, not yet.

Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ray is aware though and is defending well.
Ray controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ray stands and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Ray thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ray scoring with punches and elbows.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee is looking to reverse the position.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Ray remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ray looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Ray is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lee is trying to escape and Ray transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lee is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ray! Very nice indeed!
