Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Rouge as Boyle shoots in.

Boyle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rouge is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boyle.

Boyle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rouge doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rouge manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Boyle counters with a single leg into guard. Rouge didn't expect that.
Rouge is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyle chips away with some ground and pound.
Boyle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rouge is breathing heavily.
Rouge is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boyle is controlling him.

Boyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rouge swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyle tries to free his leg and advance position but Rouge is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Boyle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rouge tries to clinch up.
Boyle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boyle drops back looking for a leg! Rouge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rouge manages to kick Boyle off! Boyle jumps back into Rouge's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boyle closes the distance and clinches up with Rouge, looking for a takedown. Boyle pushes Rouge against the cage but Rouge circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

so Boyle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Boyle wants to control from the top but Rouge keeps moving.
Boyle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rouge's guard.
