Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horton comes into the arena with Sorry, you're not a winner blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton swats away the attempt to clinch by Sherk.
Horton shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherk sprawls well. He's pushed Horton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sherk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Horton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Horton's back!

Sherk is nestled in close to Horton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sherk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Horton keeps working.
Sherk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sherk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Horton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
