Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Blasko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rollin' . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blasko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Blasko shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

and Blasko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The is referee keeping an eye on Blasko - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blasko's guard.
Blasko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Blasko drops Jones with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jones! Blasko dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
