The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Fossmo as Thomas shoots in.
Thomas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Fossmo stuffs the takedown.
Thomas tries for a takedown but Fossmo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Helge Fossmo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Thomas.
Thomas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fossmo avoids it really well and circles away.
Thomas tries to clinch but Fossmo moves away
and Fossmo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomas tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fossmo defends well and Thomas ends up having to push Fossmo into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As Thomas backs away, Fossmo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fossmo dives in and scores a takedown into Thomas's guard.
Fossmo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fossmo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fossmo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Thomas's head.
Thomas wants to sweep but no luck.
Fossmo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fossmo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Thomas trying to keep a closed guard but Fossmo is proving a slippery customer.

Fossmo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Fossmo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Fossmo stuffs the takedown.
Fossmo thinks about countering with a body kick.
Thomas has a takedown stuffed.
Thomas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fossmo throws a quick counter kick to the body but Thomas avoids it.
Fossmo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thomas did well to prevent Fossmo getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fossmo is nestled in close to Thomas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fossmo winds up and cracks Thomas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fossmo lands with a punch from half guard.
Fossmo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Fossmo is taking a breather. Thomas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Fossmo winds up and cracks Thomas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Thomas is rocked!
Fossmo lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Thomas! More strikes land and this one is all over! Fossmo jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
