The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Locke or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones, which made it look bad.

Locke throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Locke finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jones is looking to stand up but Locke isn't so interested in that idea.
Locke is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Locke wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Locke manages to avoid it.

Locke shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Locke works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Locke dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Locke has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Locke is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Locke hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

After the fight, Mallador Locke was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
