Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Norris Horne (ranked 6494 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismo Kauppinen (ranked 6044 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Norris Horne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ismo Kauppinen!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kauppinen tries to close the distance and clinch but Horne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kauppinen looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Horne kicks Kauppinen off and gets to his feet.

Kauppinen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Horne scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Horne shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kauppinen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horne postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Horne thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kauppinen is trying to keep Horne in close.

Horne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Horne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kauppinen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Horne controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kauppinen looking for a sweep. Not yet Kauppinen, not yet.
Kauppinen wants to improve his position but instead Horne has moved into half guard.
Horne is nestled in close to Kauppinen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kauppinen wants to control but Horne is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Horne maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kauppinen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Horne has cracked it and Kauppinen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Horne!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Norris Horne!
