Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miro Bang (ranked 382 p4p, 60 weight class) and Sven Svensson (ranked 2845 p4p, 391 weight class). Svensson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hells Bells - ACDC. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson looks to land a combination but Bang avoids it well.
Svensson thows a left - swing and a miss!

and Bang counters with a shoot takedown. Svensson fights it but they end up in guard.
Bang postures up in Svensson's guard and throws a big left but Svensson blocks it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bang tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Svensson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Svensson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bang is just riding it out for now. Svensson eventually gives up the hold.
Svensson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Svensson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bang is now in Svensson's guard. A big mistake from Svensson there, giving up the dominant position!
Bang is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That was a close round but I would say that Miro Bang will probably get the nod.

Svensson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

I was talking to Bang's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Svensson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Svensson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Svensson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Svensson misses with an uppercut. Bang saw that one coming.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Svensson as he avoids it easily.

Bang is looking to counter the offense by Svensson and move into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bang has closed the distance and engaged Svensson in a clinch.
Bang tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Svensson smiles and moves away.
Bang uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Svensson.

Bang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Svensson tries to avoid it but Bang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Svensson to the ground. Svensson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Svensson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bang backs up against the cage.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bang or perhaps it was just good defense by Svensson, which made it look bad.
As Bang backs off Svensson throws a huge counter combo but Bang manages to avoid it all.

Svensson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bang. That did some damage!
Svensson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Svensson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Svensson wants it to stay on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Svensson defends well.

Bang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Svensson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Svensson is looking to pass into half guard but Bang pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bang is in guard.

Bang postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Svensson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bang, into his guard.

As Svensson tries to get set, Bang tries to push him back and clinch up but Svensson manages to avoid the attempt.

Bang tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Svensson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Svensson can't find room to land a body shot as Bang controls the action.

Bang turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bang manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bang swings around for an armbar but Svensson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bang's guard.

Bang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Svensson drops back looking for a leg! Bang is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bang manages to kick Svensson off! Svensson jumps back into Bang's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Svensson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Svensson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bang's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Svensson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Svensson.
Bang is pressing down on Svensson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Bang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Svensson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Svensson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Svensson stands and throws Bang's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bang wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Svensson has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Bang's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Bang is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Svensson!
