Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gorman pushes Gominori up against the cage in a clinch.
Gorman can't break the clinch.

Gorman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gorman manages to end up in side control.
Gominori gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gominori is trying to get back to full guard.
Gominori throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gorman is looking to take a break and control but Gominori is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gominori is trying to stand.
Gominori is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gominori swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gorman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Gorman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gorman is looking to break free of the clinch but Gominori has double underhooks.
Gorman lands a body punch in the clinch.
Gominori lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Gominori.
Gominori with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Gorman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gominori is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gominori breaks from the clinch.

Gorman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gorman landing punches.
Gorman is looking to stand but Gorman has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Gominori is looking to improve his position but Gorman isn't that keen on the idea.

Gorman prevents Gominori from getting the reversal.

Gominori tries to hold on but Gorman pushes him away.
Gorman tries to control but Gominori wriggling away.
Gominori is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gominori regains half guard.
Gorman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gominori. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gominori tries to roll over but Gorman keeps him under control.

Gominori moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Gominori looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gorman stands up over Gominori, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gominori is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gorman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gorman wanted to stand there but Gominori had control of the position.

Gominori escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gorman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gorman won't allow Gominori to sweep him here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dave Gorman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gominori throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gorman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Gorman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gominori to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gorman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gominori pulls down on the head and he's put Gorman to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Taka Gominori!
