Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Murphy (ranked 6730 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Stewart (ranked 5594 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Orlando Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murphy moves into range and clinches up with Stewart.

Murphy manages to pull guard.
Murphy keeping moving, preventing Stewart from controlling successfully.
Stewart missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Stewart wants to pass the guard but Murphy is keeping the position.
Stewart wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murphy pulls Stewart in to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stewart sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Murphy takes the fight into the clinch.
Murphy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Murphy controlling the action here for a moment.

Stewart has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Murphy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Stewart not allowing Murphy to control his hands.
Stewart biding his time, controlling Murphy.
Murphy wants to control his opponent's hands but Stewart gets his hands free.

Murphy rolls, trying to escape but Stewart keeps control of the position.

Murphy looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Stewart looking to hold on to the position here but Murphy rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stewart in particular looking to stall.
Stewart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murphy keeps working.
Stewart is pressing down on Murphy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Murphy is holding on for now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Murphy is trying to control but can't.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Orlando Murphy will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Stewart shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murphy's guard.
Stewart is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murphy keeping moving, preventing Stewart from controlling successfully.
Stewart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stewart gets to his feet. Murphy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Stewart is looking to clinch.
Stewart tries to clinch but Murphy is having none of it.

Stewart closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stewart as Murphy tries to tie him up.
Murphy trying to control the position but instead, Stewart has worked for underhooks and has pushed Murphy into the cage.

Stewart is trying to trip Murphy. He has hold of a leg but Murphy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stewart persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Stewart has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Murphy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stewart defends well.

Murphy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stewart stacks Murphy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stewart!

Stewart working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Murphy manages to get back to half guard.
Murphy is not content to let Stewart control the position.
Murphy wants to control but Stewart is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Stewart thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Stewart trying to control the action but Murphy is working from the bottom.

Murphy gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stewart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stewart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Murphy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stewart defends well.
Stewart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stewart wants to clinch up but Murphy keeps it at a distance.
Murphy throws a chopping leg kick but Stewart manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Murphy sets himself, and Stewart steps forward looking for the clinch! Murphy avoids it this time.

Murphy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Murphy is controlling Stewart's posture.
Stewart controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Murphy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stewart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stewart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Stewart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Murphy is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Will Stewart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Stewart closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Murphy quickly recovers to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stewart in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Stewart. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Murphy avoids the head kick by Stewart.

and Stewart moves into the clinch.

Stewart tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Murphy.
Stewart is thwarting Murphy's attempts to control the position.

Murphy has his foot on Stewart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stewart works his way back into a safe position though.
Murphy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Will Stewart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stewart has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
