Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between bruce Assman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). JD Killa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Killa or perhaps it was just good defense by Assman which made him look bad.
Killa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Killa shoots for a double leg takedown but Assman sprawls well. He's pushed Killa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Killa rushes Assman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Killa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Killa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Killa is fighting to break Assman's control of his arms but Assman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Assman controls Killa momentarily but Killa frees himself.
Killa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Assman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Assman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Assman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Killa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Assman cracks Killa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Killa has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to bruce Assman.
I think Killa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
