Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Lujan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Maroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lujan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lujan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Maroni.
It looks like Jimmy Lujan has been cut.
Lujan drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lujan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maroni tries to avoid it but Lujan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maroni to the ground. Maroni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lujan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maroni's waist but Maroni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lujan off to one side.

No joy there for Maroni, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maroni rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lujan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
