Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos connects with a nice looking jab.
Dos Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dos Santos is defended easily by Anderson.
Dos Santos lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Dos Santos darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Dos Santos into the cage.
Waldo Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Dos Santos.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dos Santos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dos Santos closes the distance but Anderson moves to the side

and Anderson counters with a takedown into side control.
Anderson gets to mount! Dos Santos was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Dos Santos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson working for a guillotine from mount but Dos Santos is in no mood to give up.

Dos Santos tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.
Dos Santos looks winded!

Anderson get's back to his feet.
Dos Santos throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Anderson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Nice takedown defense from Anderson. No joy for Dos Santos on that attempt.
Anderson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Anderson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Anderson stands up and waves to Dos Santos to follow him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses.
Dos Santos misses with a leg kick

and Anderson counters with a shoot takedown. Dos Santos fights it but they end up in guard.
Anderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Anderson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dos Santos, up you get!
Anderson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Anderson misses with the combination.
Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dos Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Dos Santos tries to land a front kick but Anderson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Anderson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dos Santos.

Anderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dos Santos!

Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dos Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Anderson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dos Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.

Anderson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dos Santos moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.
Dos Santos wants to clinch up but Anderson keeps it at a distance.
Anderson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dos Santos lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Dos Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anderson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dos Santos throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Anderson counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dos Santos.
Dos Santos tries to clinch there but Anderson circles away.
Anderson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Dos Santos dives in and grabs Anderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Dos Santos's head and hops out.
Dos Santos is breathing heavily.

Dos Santos gets the takedown into side control.

Anderson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Anderson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Dos Santos misses with a head kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dos Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Anderson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dos Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dos Santos drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
Dos Santos tries to pull guard but Anderson won't allow it.

Anderson pulls guard effortlessly.
Anderson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Anderson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Anderson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Anderson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dos Santos has his hands clasped together but Anderson extends and breaks Dos Santos's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Anderson.
