Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silver gets caught napping as Yataro dives in and scores a takedown. Silver manages to retain guard.
Yataro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Yataro scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yataro stays in close to Silver's body and controls the position.
Yataro has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yataro postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Silver covers up, he's hurt! Yataro keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Yataro and the ref steps in to end the fight! Yataro can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

After winning the bout, Takayama Yataro thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
