The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akintan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Akintan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kruiz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Akintan stops Kruiz from passing to mount.
Akintan wants to get back to his feet.
Kruiz landing a few strikes.
Kruiz cracks Akintan with a big right hand but Akintan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akintan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Kruiz in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Akintan is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Tom Kruiz tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
