Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Jester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lexington Steeled!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jester closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jester controlling the position from side mount.
Jester is putting a hurting on Steeled here, landing some big shots from side control.
Steeled is looking for a sweep.
Jester has control of an arm but Steeled manages to advance to Jester's back!
Jester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Steeled has the hooks in. Jester is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Jester rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Steeled is pressing down on Jester's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jester is holding on for now.
Steeled tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jester controls his leg.

Jester wants to improve his position but Steeled is controlling well.
Steeled not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jester keeping hold of Steeled's head, controlling as best he can.
Steeled is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steeled wants to work for an arm triangle but Jester is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Steeled wants to stand but Jester has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Jester is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Steeled wants to take a breather but Jester is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steeled.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Jester decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Steeled manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jester keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Jester drags the fight down to the ground.

Steeled avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steeled must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jester pushes Steeled off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steeled lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Jester takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Steeled tries for a takedown but Jester sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jester could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jester clinches.
Steeled is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jester is looking to break free of the clinch but Steeled has double underhooks.
Jester tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Jester has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Steeled regains guard immediately.
Steeled working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jester.

Steeled has an active guard here but Jester has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Jester will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Jester feints and as Steeled raises his hands in defense, Jester changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Steeled is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jester lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Steeled really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Steeled avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Steeled wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jester has taken the fight to the clinch.
Steeled lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Jester jumps into guard, dragging Steeled to the mat.
Jester lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Steeled looking to control.

Jester lands a couple of elbows.
Jester controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steeled throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jester controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Jester's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jester stands up and waves to Steeled to follow him.
Steeled tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jester paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jester shoots in and bounces Steeled off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jester passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Jester tries for a kimura but Steeled is defending well.
Jester moves into full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steeled is looking to improve his position but Jester isn't that keen on the idea.

Jester looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Jester dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Jester looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jester defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Steeled.
Steeled tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jester swivels and escapes.
Steeled connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Steeled fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jester rushes Steeled and presses him up against the cage.
Jester is stalling here.
Jester is trying to push Steeled away but Steeled has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steeled jumps guard but Jester stands there with Steeled around his waist. Steeled gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jake Jester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lexington Steeled.

Jester has hold of one of Steeled's legs. Steeled is fighting the takedown attempt but Jester gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Steeled is looking to stand back up but Jester counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Steeled.

Steeled takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jester looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Jester is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steeled can do to turn this around?

The referee warns Steeled that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jester takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jake Jester overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Steeled is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jester takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jester is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Steeled can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Jester is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Well, if Jester is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jester, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
