Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Ways (ranked 5470 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Sajko (ranked 5651 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Ways!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesus Sajko!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ways tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sajko defends well and Ways ends up having to push Sajko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sajko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sajko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ways tries to clinch up.

Ways takes the fight into the clinch.

Sajko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ways drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ways turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ways manages to end up in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sajko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that James Ways will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Sajko or perhaps it was just good defense by Ways, which made it look bad.
Ways lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Ways throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ways closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sajko did well to prevent Ways getting side control.

Ways lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sajko down.

Ways has the hooks in. Sajko is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Sajko wants to control his opponent's hands but Ways gets his hands free.

James Ways is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sajko is trying to get back to his feet but Ways has full control of the position and if anything, Sajko has just worked his way into a worse spot.

James Ways showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ways, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
