Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xhaka Laca (ranked 2802 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Wax (ranked 2371 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laca shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wax is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Laca is aware though and is defending well.
Laca has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Laca got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wax has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Laca has managed to get both his arms back between Wax's legs - danger averted.

Wax looking for a guillotine here but Laca defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wax pulls Laca in close to his closed guard and prevents Laca from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wax avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Laca throwing strikes but missing.
Wax is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Laca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wax on the ground.
Laca throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wax works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wax is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Wax looking for a guillotine here but Laca defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wax seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Laca stands up over Wax, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wax is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Laca working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wax's head.
Laca throws a big right hand that misses.
Laca has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Laca throwing strikes but missing.
Wax bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laca's guard.

Laca looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wax passes into side control.
Wax lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Laca down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laca is not content to let Wax control the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Laca is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wax is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Wax looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Wax postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Laca looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wax lands a big elbow.

Wax has hold of Laca's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Laca manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
