The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strowman drives through with a takedown into Carroll's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Strowman is pushing down on Carroll's leg trying to pass to half guard. Carroll is fighting to maintain full guard but Strowman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Carroll could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Carroll is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strowman pulls his head out easily.

Strowman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carroll to the mat! Carroll manages to get full guard.
Carroll can't keep his opponent in guard - Strowman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Strowman works his way into side control.

Strowman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Strowman takes the fight into the clinch.
Carroll goes for a takedown attempt but Strowman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Strowman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carroll napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Carroll wants to get back to his feet but Strowman is dominant here and he's now got Carroll's back!
