Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Theophile Bonnet (ranked 23429 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wen Chou (ranked 23428 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Theophile Bonnet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Wen Chou!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Chou with that takedown attempt.
Chou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bonnet manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chou keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bonnet shoots for a takedown but Chou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chou shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bonnet pinned against the cage. Bonnet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bonnet fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theophile Bonnet. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chou gets a clinch.
Chou is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bonnet is keeping busy.
Bonnet jumps guard but Chou turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Chou gets control of Bonnet's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chou will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chou wants to get back to his feet but Bonnet is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

It looks like Theophile Bonnet has been cut.
Chou shoots in but Bonnet avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bonnet could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Chou counters with a series of strikes. Bonnet will be more careful next time no doubt.

Horrible takedown attempt by Bonnet or perhaps it was just good defense by Chou, which made it look bad.
Chou let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Chou shoots in looking for a takedown but Bonnet manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chou's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Chou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bonnet avoids it really well and circles away.

As Chou looks to move away, Bonnet throws a big counter combo but Chou just gets out of the way.

A close round but Wen Chou will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bonnet tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chou sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bonnet somewhat.
Bonnet throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chou's waist but Chou gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bonnet off to one side.
Chou scores with a head kick.

Bonnet moves into range and clinches up with Chou.
Bonnet is trying to break the clinch but Chou has him pressed against the cage.
Chou is pressed up against the cage. Bonnet has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chou down to the mat. Chou avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theophile Bonnet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bonnet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chou trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bonnet manages to pass to mount!

Bonnet won't let Chou get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Wen Chou seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bonnet takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Bonnet dives in for a single leg takedown but Chou sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Chou darts in looking for a takedown but Bonnet gets double underhooks and turns Chou into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chou shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bonnet eats them both and turns towards Chou to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Chou counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Chou pushes Bonnet back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Chou manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
