Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Buckaroo Banzai (ranked 3504 p4p, 157 weight class) and Talon Cape (ranked 3524 p4p, 160 weight class). Buckaroo Banzai is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buckaroo Banzai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Talon Cape!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banzai keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cape's coach down at Stark Combat Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cape's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Banzai throws a lazy head kick

and Cape counters by moving into the clinch.
Banzai looking to throw knees to the head but Cape is blocking nicely.
The referee is keeping an eye on Cape - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

It looks like Buckaroo Banzai has been cut.
Cape is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Banzai wants a takedown.

Banzai is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Banzai throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Banzai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cape circles away quickly and effectively.
Cape wants to counter with a clinch but Banzai pushes him away.

Banzai is trying to drag Cape to the mat but Cape just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Banzai creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Banzai trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Cape not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cape really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banzai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Cape passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Banzai is letting Cape control him for a moment.
Banzai tries to control but Cape manages to take his back.
Banzai is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
I really don't envy Banzai right now.
I would not like to be Banzai right now.

Buckaroo Banzai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Let's hope that Cape has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Talon Cape comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cape has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
