Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Mcfadden (ranked 5437 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Gorbechav (ranked 5285 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremy Mcfadden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leon Gorbechav!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcfadden closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gorbechav to the mat! Gorbechav manages to get full guard.
Gorbechav is wriggling around but Mcfadden manages to pass to half guard.


Mcfadden is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gorbechav avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mcfadden.
Mcfadden scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Mcfadden seems to be looking for submissions.

Mcfadden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gorbechav is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcfadden.
Mcfadden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gorbechav pushes Mcfadden off looking to stand but Mcfadden dives back in and keeps control.

Mcfadden wants to work for an arm triangle but Gorbechav is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mcfadden is looking for a kimura but Gorbechav is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mcfadden to get the leverage.
Mcfadden working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mcfadden is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gorbechav is just riding it out for now. Mcfadden eventually gives up the hold.
Gorbechav is trying to escape back to his feet but Mcfadden uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Gorbechav is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Mcfadden wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gorbechav, who protects the arm well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gorbechav tries to improve position but can't.
Mcfadden looks up at the clock and then as Gorbechav takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mcfadden smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mcfadden lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gorbechav down.
Mcfadden in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Gorbechav is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mcfadden connects with a decent elbow.

Gorbechav bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Gorbechav feints and as Mcfadden raises his hands in defense, Gorbechav changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mcfadden is looking to stand up but Gorbechav isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeremy Mcfadden dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mcfadden shoots in but no luck this time.
Gorbechav throws a series of strikes that have Mcfadden backpedaling.


It looks like Jeremy Mcfadden has been cut.
Leon Gorbechav seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcfadden takes a swing at Gorbechav's ribcage but misses.
Mcfadden avoids the head kick by Gorbechav.
Mcfadden was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Gorbechav throws a sloppy head kick and Mcfadden moves out of range easily.
Mcfadden tries to counter by clinching up but Gorbechav breaks away and moves out of range.
Gorbechav throws the kick towards the body but Mcfadden avoids it.
Gorbechav misses with the combination.
Mcfadden wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Gorbechav thuds his right hand into Mcfadden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcfadden changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gorbechav looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcfadden is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gorbechav has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Mcfadden has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gorbechav has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Gorbechav is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mcfadden is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gorbechav has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Mcfadden is working the ground and pound. Can Gorbechav escape?

Mcfadden looking to break Gorbechav's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Gorbechav remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mcfadden will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Mcfadden is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gorbechav knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gorbechav for a finish.

Jeremy Mcfadden overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mcfadden lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Gorbechav hold on?!
