Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurtis Velasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Bell!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Velasquez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Velasquez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Velasquez tries to clinch up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bell prevents the takedown attempt.

Bell pulls Velasquez into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Velasquez is controlling him.
Bell trying to keep a closed guard but Velasquez is proving a slippery customer.

Bell wriggles free and stands up.

Bell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Velasquez was covering up waiting for the punch and Bell finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Velasquez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Velasquez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bell.

Velasquez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bell pulls his head out easily.
Bell wants to take a breather but Velasquez is having none of it.
Bell with the ground and pound but Velasquez uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bell throwing strikes from guard but Velasquez blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bell won't allow Velasquez to sweep him here.

Bell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Velasquez, up you get!
Bell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Velasquez's head backwards.

Velasquez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Velasquez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bell prevents it.
Velasquez is breathing heavily.
Velasquez tries to pull guard but Bell won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurtis Velasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Velasquez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bell is trying to force a seperation but Velasquez has the dominant position.

Bell gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Bell decides to stand up.
Bell fails to land with a series of punches.
Velasquez tries to clinch there but Bell circles away.

Bell drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bell drops back looking for a leg! Velasquez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Velasquez manages to kick Bell off! Bell jumps back into Velasquez's guard.

Bell stands up from Velasquez's guard - Bell perhaps looking for a knockout.
Velasquez takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bell.

Bell shoots in and gets a takedown into Velasquez's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Bell dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bell throws a right hand that Velasquez ducks under and follows up with a left that Velasquez also avoids with ease.
Bell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bell works over Velasquez's head and body with a nice combination.


Velasquez is rocked!


It looks like Kurtis Velasquez has been cut.
OH! Velasquez has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Bell smells blood and charges in for the finish! Bell unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Velasquez sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shane Bell!
