Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Preston Wiggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, New Knee!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knee wants to clinch.
Wiggins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Knee misses with a wild combination.

Wiggins feints and as Knee raises his hands in defense, Wiggins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wiggins stops Knee from standing up.
Knee lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wiggins keeping moving, preventing Knee from controlling successfully.
Wiggins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Knee is keen to just control but Wiggins is a slippery customer.

Knee shoots in looking for a takedown. Wiggins tries to sprawl out of it but Knee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wiggins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Knee throws a series of strikes that have Wiggins backpedaling.


It looks like Preston Wiggins has been cut.

Wiggins drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Knee is wriggling around but Wiggins manages to pass to half guard.

Knee wants to control the action here but instead Wiggins manages to pass to full mount!
Knee tries to reverse the position but Wiggins maintains control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knee tries to pull guard but Wiggins holds him up against the cage and eventually Knee drops back down to his feet.
Knee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wiggins slowing the pace effectively.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Knee takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Knee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wiggins walks away with a smile on his face. Knee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wiggins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Knee.

Knee rushes Wiggins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wiggins gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wiggins closes the distance looking to clinch
and Knee counters with a left and a right that stings Wiggins.

Knee moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wiggins gets the takedown into side control.
Knee is pushing Wiggins's head away, looking to escape. Wiggins manages to hold on to the position though.
Knee is looking to regain half guard here but Wiggins keeps moving and retains side control.

Wiggins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Knee some visible discomfort.
Knee tries to improve position but can't.
Knee misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Knee is looking for a sweep.
Knee is looking to get back to his feet here but Wiggins is keeping cool and he's managed to take Knee's back.
Knee tries to break free.

Wiggins not allowing Knee to control his hands.
Wiggins has the hooks in. Knee is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wiggins scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Knee is looking for a way out.
Knee trying to get back to his feet but Wiggins is in full control for now.

Wiggins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knee on his heels. He'll look to pass Knee's guard now, I'm sure.

Wiggins slips a nice elbow through Knee's hands, connecting with Knee's forehead.

Wiggins lands a big shot there that rocks Knee but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Wiggins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Knee manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Wiggins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Knee tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Wiggins presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Knee swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Knee is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Knee bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wiggins has his feet on Knee's thighs here. He's pushed Knee off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Knee screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
