PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasili Komaroff (ranked 606 p4p, 69 weight class) and Scott Keene (ranked 559 p4p, 64 weight class). Komaroff comes to the cage accompanied by Kaleida - Think. On his way into the cage it seems that Vasili Komaroff has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vasili Komaroff seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komaroff fails with the takedown
and Keene counters with a straight right hand.

Komaroff throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Keene tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Komaroff is in Keene's guard.

Komaroff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Keene counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Keene, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Komaroff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Keene on his heels. He'll look to pass Keene's guard now, I'm sure.
Keene is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Komaroff dives into side control.
Komaroff takes a little break here. Keene wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Komaroff works to advance to full mount. Keene defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
You get the feeling that Keene really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Keene avoids a strike by Komaroff and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Komaroff's guard! Fantastic escape!

Keene must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Keene is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Komaroff dives into side control.


Komaroff goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Keene rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Komaroff's guard! Nice work there by Keene!
