Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Zane (ranked 6937 p4p, 218 weight class) and LC Dufrain (ranked 7052 p4p, 222 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dufrain throws out the jab.
That kick from Zane tenderised Dufrain's leg. Dufrain is trying to keep his angry face on.
Zane blocks a head kick by Dufrain.
Dufrain misses with the combination.
Dufrain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zane circles away quickly and effectively.
Zane misses with an uppercut. Dufrain saw that one coming.
Dufrain throws a lazy right hand but Zane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dufrain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zane.
Zane throws a jab but it's blocked by Dufrain.

Zane seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dufrain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Zane throws a shot from downtown. Dufrain moves away and avoids it.
Dufrain changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Dufrain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zane.
Dufrain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zane throws the left hand but Dufrain avoids the punch easily.
Dufrain tries to counter with a clinch but Zane shakes him off and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zane takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Dufrain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Zane loads up on a big right hand but Dufrain slips the punch.
Dufrain misses with a takedown
and Zane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Danny Zane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LC Dufrain.
Zane throws a hook to the side of Dufrain's head but Dufrain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dufrain throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A low kick from Dufrain is predictable there
and Zane scores with a counter punch that sends Dufrain to the canvas! Zane smells blood - he's punishing Dufrain with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Dufrain has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Zane!
After the fight, Danny Zane was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
