Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucan drives through with a takedown into Bagov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lucan forces his way into half guard.
Lucan seems to be looking for submissions.

Bagov is defending against the submission attempts here by Lucan.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bagov is refusing to be controlled, as Lucan sits in half guard.

Lucan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lucan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bagov is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Guts & Glory Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lucan tries to stand but Bagov is controlling from the bottom.
Bagov controls Lucan momentarily but Lucan frees himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lucan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bagov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bagov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lucan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lucan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lucan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bagov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lucan works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Lucan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lucan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bagov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lucan.
Lucan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bagov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bagov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lucan is working away from the top position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lucan is looking for a kimura here.

Bagov is pressing down on Lucan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Lucan wants to control from the top but Bagov keeps moving.

Edwin Lucan dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A combination from Lucan does no damage.
Lucan scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Ali Bagov has been cut.
Lucan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bagov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lucan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lucan content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bagov has locked up a guillotine! Bagov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lucan is holding on here and Bagov must be using up a lot of energy. Lucan has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bagov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
