Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Albert Hoffman (ranked 799 p4p, 95 weight class) and Tim Pierno (ranked 406 p4p, 59 weight class). Pierno has chosen Sick Puppies - You're Going Down as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman moves forwards but Pierno connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Pierno rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hoffman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hoffman half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hoffman goes for a double leg but Pierno avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pierno continues to drive forward.
Hoffman wants to clinch up but Pierno keeps it at a distance.
Hoffman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pierno is fending him off so far but Hoffman persists. Nope, Pierno circles away and we're back to standing.
Pierno lands an overhand right.
Hoffman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pierno counters with a stiff right hand.

Pierno connects with a body shot that sends Hoffman 's belly button to the back.

Hoffman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hoffman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hoffman wants to work for an arm triangle but Pierno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pierno tries to get to full guard but Hoffman has control of the leg.
Pierno is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hoffman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hoffman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pierno doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hoffman .

Hoffman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pierno defends it well.
