The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Nixon.
Nixon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Thatcher drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nixon sprawls and moves away.
Nixon throws a right hand that Thatcher ducks under and follows up with a left that Thatcher also avoids with ease.
Nixon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thatcher on the side of the head.
Thatcher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nixon.
Thatcher attempts a counter takedown but Nixon avoids it well and moves away.
Nixon thuds a left hand into Thatcher's body.
Nixon throws a hook to the side of Thatcher's head but Thatcher sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thatcher seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Nixon lands with an uppercut that bounces Thatcher off the cage and back into range.
Nixon lands a nice shot to the body.
Nixon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thatcher ducks right into an uppercut from Nixon.
Nixon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Thatcher goes for a double leg but Nixon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nixon continues to drive forward.
Nixon throws a monster overhand right that drops Thatcher! Nixon follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
