Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adel Sadeq!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lei Makana!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makana keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lei Makana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sadeq defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Makana.
Sadeq appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Sadeq seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Makana shoots in looking for a takedown. Sadeq tries to sprawl out of it but Makana keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sadeq manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Makana misses with an uppercut

so Sadeq counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sadeq got a little sloppy there for a moment and Makana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sadeq has managed to get both his arms back between Makana's legs - danger averted.
Sadeq is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sadeq stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makana swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Makana bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sadeq's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sadeq pulls Makana in to control the position.
Sadeq will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Makana stops Sadeq from standing up.
Makana landing some decent shots from guard.
Sadeq seems keen to control Makana's posture.
Makana wants to get up but he can't break Sadeq's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Makana is still in real trouble! Can Sadeq finish him?
Sadeq connects with a couple of short punches.
Sadeq keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Makana's head.
Sadeq loads up on a big left hand. Makana felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sadeq looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Makana can't hide his disappointment, as Sadeq celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adel Sadeq!
