Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Obrien (ranked 5481 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasa Lazarevic (ranked 5553 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasa Lazarevic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lazarevic shoots in and gets a takedown into Obrien's guard.
Lazarevic showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Lazarevic is looking to work some ground and pound but Obrien has wrist control.
Obrien manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lazarevic manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lazarevic is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lazarevic has momentary wrist control but Obrien slips an elbow through the middle.

Lazarevic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Obrien defends it easily.

Lazarevic has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Obrien is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lazarevic.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Obrien enables Lazarevic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Obrien manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lazarevic drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Obrien manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lazarevic has Obrien in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Obrien seems a little lost for a moment, as Lazarevic dominates the positioning.
Obrien is trying to control Lazarevic's posture but Lazarevic avoids it.
A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Obrien regains half guard, as Lazarevic was trying to land strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lazarevic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sasa Lazarevic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lazarevic shoots in and bounces Obrien off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Obrien can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lazarevic controls the pace.

and Lazarevic counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Lazarevic moves into range and clinches up with Obrien.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lazarevic takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lazarevic has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Lazarevic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lazarevic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lazarevic throws his legs up looking for a submission but Obrien uses it to pass to side control.

Obrien thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ground and pound from Obrien seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Lazarevic sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lazarevic wants to control but Obrien is keeping busy.

Obrien throws a strike but Lazarevic avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lazarevic has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Obrien off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Lazarevic moves in looking to clinch but Obrien pushes him off.

Lazarevic looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lazarevic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well Lazarevic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
