Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duane Little (ranked 7087 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Builder (ranked 3409 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duane Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Builder!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Little wants it to stay on the feet.

Little throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Builder was covering up waiting for the punch and Little finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Little trying to control but Builder is working from the bottom.
Little scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Little trying to control the position from guard on top but Builder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Builder can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Little controls the pace.
Little seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Builder for as long as he can get away with.

Little throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Builder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Little wants to control from the top but Builder keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Builder looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Little moves into the clinch.
Duane Little has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Builder.
Builder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Little prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Little scores with a nice short uppercut.
Little really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Little controls Builder momentarily but Builder frees himself.
Little will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Little wants to stand up but Builder is controlling him.
Little not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Little seems keen to control Builder's posture.
Builder postures up.
Little wants to sweep here but Builder controlling him for the moment.

Builder is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Little is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Little bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Builder has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Little is on him like a limpet, forcing Builder back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Little has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Builder is trying to keep an underhook but Little manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Little wants to lay and pray for a moment but Builder keeps working.

Little decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Little shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Little trying to control the position from guard on top but Builder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Little slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Builder has momentary wrist control but Little slips an elbow through the middle.

Little's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Builder gets caught napping as Little dives in and scores a takedown. Builder manages to retain guard.

Builder keeping moving, preventing Little from controlling successfully.
Little working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Builder's head.
Builder wants to sweep here but Little controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Builder working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Little has passed into half guard!
Little working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Little content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Little wants to take a breather but Builder is having none of it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duane Little dominated that second round.
That's time! Little's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Little throws a body punch but Builder moves out of range.

Builder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Builder lands in his opponent's guard.
Builder tries to free his leg and advance position but Little is retaining full guard.
Builder postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Little looking to hit a scissor sweep but Builder is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Builder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Little trying to keep a closed guard but Builder is proving a slippery customer.
Duane Little overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Little tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Little is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Builder passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Little sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Builder is keen to just control but Little is a slippery customer.
Builder uses his free foot to push down on Little's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Little.

Builder swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Little is now in Builder's guard. A big mistake from Builder there, giving up the dominant position!
Builder is looking to stand up but Little isn't so interested in that idea.

Builder pushes Little off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Well Little has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
