The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Collins is defended easily by Marida.
Collins darts in looking for a takedown but Marida gets double underhooks and turns Collins into the cage.
Collins gets tackled into the cage by Marida. Marida maintains the clinch.
Marida has clasped his hands together around Collins's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Marida scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Collins to see if he's OK.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marida can do anything to dispel that myth.
Collins gets to his feet - Marida follows without any prompting.
Marida shoots in looking for a takedown but Collins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marida's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marida darts in and clinches Collins up against the cage.
