Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Farson (ranked 4500 p4p, 412 weight class) and Ramelo Gracie (ranked 4023 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Farson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ramelo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Farson blocks the low kick.
Gracie throws a nice looking combination but Farson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Farson pinned against the cage. Farson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Farson.
A punch combination from Gracie misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie stuffs the takedown attempt from Farson. Farson gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A combination from Farson does no damage.
And Gracie tries to counter it with a takedown but Farson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Farson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Gracie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Farson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Farson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Gracie in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Farson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Farson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Farson is breathing heavily.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Farson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
Farson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gracie sprawls and moves away.
Alex Farson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramelo Gracie.
Gracie works over Farson's head and body with a nice combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie blocks the body kick.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Farson is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Farson circles away and we're back to standing.
A head kick misses from Farson.
Nice takedown defense from Gracie. No joy for Farson on that attempt.
Farson shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Farson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Farson wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Farson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Gracie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Farson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gracie throws a combination. Farson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Farson swivels and escapes.
Gracie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Farson on the side of the head.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gracie lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farson sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Farson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
